What you'll do:
As a Dental Assistant you will work to enhance the daily operations of the clinic by providing excellent care and communication to our patients. As a Dental Assistant you will:
- Prepares, sterilizes, disinfects, and maintains dental equipment, instruments, and supplies
- Collects and records patient health histories, take impressions and x-rays
- Ensures patient comfort during dental procedures
- Prepares dental materials (cements, amalgam, composite, impression materials, etc.)
- Completes charting of treatment information in the patients' dental notes from the doctor as directed
- Assist doctor in management of medical and dental emergencies
- Cleans/polishes removable devices; fabricate temporary restorations, custom trays, study models
- Delivers postoperative and general oral care instructions to patient
- Maintains infection control procedures, patient privacy, and professional interactions with patients and staff
- Assist administrative team with customer service functions
- Present treatment plans to patients
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting Program or dental assistant experience preferred
- Previous customer service or office experience
- Proficiency or the ability to become proficient within 90 days in dental terminology and dental software for charting, treatment planning, clinical notes, etc.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Foster a positive attitude and be a team player
Patient Care Hours:
Monday through Thursday 8:00am to 5:00pm, and Fridays as needed 8:00am to 12:00pm
