We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Director to lead our strategic expansion efforts. This high-impact role is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing dental practice acquisitions, affiliations, and partnership opportunities. The Business Development Director will play a key role in shaping the future of our organization and will report directly to the Cherry Tree Dental President and serve as a member of the organization's leadership team.
**This role can be primarily work from home, but will need to work in our Madison, WI office periodically, therefore candidates should be within a reasonable driving distance to Madison, WI. In addition, travel is anticipated to be a minimum of 50%, based on business needs.**
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to identify and target new dental practice acquisition opportunities in key markets.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities in the DSO space.
- Establish and maintain relationships with dental practice owners, brokers, consultants, and other industry stakeholders.
- Proactively identify and engage potential acquisition targets through networking, outreach campaigns, and industry events.
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to assess the financial viability, clinical quality, and cultural fit of prospective practices.
- Support the development of valuation models and deal structures in alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead the due diligence process in collaboration with legal, clinical, finance, and compliance team.
- Manage all aspects of deal negotiation and closing in partnership with Cherry Tree Dental leadership team.
- Work closely with executive leadership, board of directors, and other key stakeholders to align growth initiatives with broader company strategy.
- Partner with marketing, operations, and other teams to ensure seamless onboarding of new practices.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field.
- 7-years of experience in business development, M&A, or strategic partnerships, preferably within the dental or healthcare industry.
- Demonstrated track record of successful deal sourcing and execution.
- Strong understanding of dental practice operations and DSO business models.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
